All partners are eligible to attend The Speaking Channel’s monthly 2-day presentation training workshops and media training workshops, as well as receive personalized coaching. Partners are also eligible to receive more than $4000 worth of training videos, materials and courses. Students may also be eligible to receive academic internship credit. Job title: Speaker Bureau Liaison
Goals: Establish relationships with professional speaker bureaus (organizations that book professional speakers) throughout the world.
Description: The Speaker Bureau Liaison will research speaker bureaus on the Internet and then establish contact with each bureau via email. A short summary of each agency will be created and posted on the The Speaking Channel’s Speaker Bureau directory. After linking to the bureau’s site form the speaking Channel, the liaison will deepen the relationship by encouraging the Speaker Bureau to officially represent the Speaking Channel’s Chairman, TJ Walker. Additionally, the Liaison will encourage each bureau to post videos of their speakers on The Speaking Channel.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week.
Location: Anywhere in the world via Internet.



Job title: YouTube Speaking Manager
Goals: To organize all videos on YouTube that relate to Speaking and place them on The Speaking Channel in an orderly, logical fashion
Description: The YouTube Speaking Manager will be responsible for culling the best videos form YouTube that relate to speaking, downloading them, and then uploading them to The speaking Channel. Additionally, the YouTube Manager will be responsible for labeling the video by subject, category, skill set, and quality.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week
Location: Anywhere via Internet.



Job title: Literary Editor
Goals: To accurately organize and review more than 30,000 books in print that relate to public speaking.
Description: The Literary Editor will do a brief summary of all books in print that relate to public speaking, specifically those found on Amazon. The reviewer will also provide an analysis, plus a link to the book for sale at amazon.com. A separate page for each book will be created on The Speaking Channel, and it will include optimization.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week.

Job title: Director of Advertising Sales
Goals: To sell advertising and sponsorship packages for the Speaking Channel
Description: The Director of Advertising will solicit and sell all form of internet banner, per-click, and video/audio ads for the speaking channel as well as sponsorship programs.
Time commitment: 20 hours per week
Location: New York City or elsewhere via Internet



Job title: Syndication Manager
Goals: To distribute branded Speaking Channel videos, audios and printed content to as many online and offline media properties as possible.
Description: The Syndication Manager will upload and distribute Speaking Channel programs to iTunes, YouTube, and hundreds of other video, audio and content sharing sits on the web
Time commitment: 15+ hrs per week

Job title: Resource Guide Manager
Goals: To create, organize and maintain a resource guide of all products and services that relate to speaking in the world.
Description: The Resource Guide Manager will catalog brief descriptions of all product and service vendors for any industry related to speaking
Time commitment: 10+ hrs per week

Job title: PRSSA Liaison Public Relations Student Society of America
Goals: To build a strong relationship between The Speaking Channel and all local chapters of PRSSA across America.
Description: The PRSSA Liaison will contact all PRSSA chapters and build links to them via web links and distributing free media training content for use by students.
Time commitment: 15+ hrs per week

Job title: Bully Pulpits Pre-production Manager
Goals: To capture and edit the best video clips of world famous speakers to be used in The Speaking Channel’s signature show “Bully Pulpits”
Description: The Bully Pulpits manger must know how to edit video and analyze news and historical video footage. Must then mail video segments of sound bites to speaking Channel headquarters.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week.
Location: Anywhere via phone, fax and mail.



Job title: Radio Talk Show Host/Producer (for resource guide)
Goals: to interview, via telephone, speaking industry experts on their products and services.
Description: The radio show host/producer will create digital audio recordings of interviews with industry experts to be used in conjunction with the Speaking Channel Resource guide. An understanding of recording digital audio by telephone and editing is required for this position.
Time commitment: 10+ hrs per week.

Job title: Web Page Optimizer
Goals: To optimize all pages of content on The Speaking Channel
Description: The optimizer w ill code each page for keywords, add appropriate photos, and insert relevant ads
Time commitment: 10+ hrs per week.

Job title: Community Leader
Goals: to coordinate, recruit, organize and add value to communities based on single strong interests, such as humor, motivation, sales, new business pitches, PowerPoint, speechwriting, training, eulogies, preaching, etc.
Description: community leaders will be charged with building a community around their particular interest/focus on speaking. Community leaders will be expected to add new content on a regular basis in both video, audio and text formats and to recruit new members to do likewise. They will be charged with reporting and alkalizing all news that affects their group.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week.

Job title: Debate Liaison
Goals: To create an Internet community for all high school and college debate teams
Description: The Debate Liaison will cultivate relationships with all high school and college debate teams and organizations worldwide and to get them to place video of their competitions on the Speaking Channel.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week
Location: Anywhere via Internet



Job title: Producer, On-Air Promotions
Goals: To create a slick, consistent on-air image of The Speaking Channel through ads, promos and other video identifiers
Description: The producer will create ads and other video and audio identifications to help brand The Speaking Channel as a slick “big time” media organization.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week
Location: anywhere via Internet and mail.



Job title: Producer, Live Speaking Channel Events
Goals: to create live events and parties focused around speaking-related themes, including presidential debate parties, business networking skills, and significant world leader speeches.
Description: The producer will crate, organize and promote live events and parties for the Speaking Channel, initially once a month in New York City. Eventually the events will be held each month in all major cities.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week
Location: New York City



Job title: Reporter
Goals: To cover all breaking news stories that relate to speaking, speaking services and speaking-related products.
Description: The reporter will cover and repackage wire service stories related to speaking issues as well as write and produce original stories that relate to speaking issues.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week

Job title: Product Reviewer
Goals: to write and product original product reviews of all speaker-related software and hardware products.
Description: The reviewer will produce reviews of all products that are of interest to the professional communications industry, including hardware, software and PowerPoint add-on products.
Time commitment: 10+ hours per week

Job title: Speaker Video Harvester
Goals: to Harvest as many videos of speakers found on the Internet as possible (will not include youtube)
Description: The Harvester will download, store, upload, and label videos and adios of speakers found on C-SPAN, Whitehouse.gov, and other internet sources.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week
Location: anywhere via Internet

Job title: Professional Speaker Liaison
Goals: to organize and categorize the top 5,000 professional public speakers in the world
Description: The Professional Speaker Liaison will create a stand alone reference page describing professional speakers and their bio. Then the liaison will attempt to establish relations with the speaker and get the speaker to upload as many speaker videos as possible to the site and to maintain an active home page on the speaking Channel
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week

Job title: Publicist
Goals: to gain media placements in internet press, blogs, trade press and mainstream print and broadcast media for all actives of The Speaking Channel.
Description: The publicist will pitch the CEO and the COO of The Speaking Channel as quest experts to all media.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week
Location: anywhere via Internet, but New York City-based preferred.

Job title: Director of Philanthropy
Goals: To establish strong relationships with leading non-profit and charitable organizations around the world.
Description: the Director of Philanthropy will establish relationships with non-profits and donate Speaking Channel training books, videos and online learning services in order to help non-profits communicate more effectively to live audiences and to the public via the media.
Time commitment: 15+ hours per week

Job title: Director of elearning
Goals: to create dozens of micro, online speaking courses.
Description: The director of elearning will use elearning software to create more than one dozen online media and presentation training courses for sale by The Speaking Channel

Job title: Director of Speaking Contests
Goals: To create relationships with major speaking contests worldwide, including Optimists International, Toastmasters, and Future Farmers of America
Description: The Director of Speaking contests will get all major speaking contests to air video of their competitions on the Speaking Channel.

Job title: Director of Workshop marketing/promotion
Goals: To market The Speaking Channel/Media Training Workshops to as wide an audience as possible
Description: The director of workshop marketing will get the workshops listed in all major internet training directories, secure publicity for the workshops and strike partnership/affiliate relationships with organization to promoter the workshops.
Time commitment: 15+ hrs per week.

Job title: Camera Operator/video producer
Goals: to shoot video of all Speaking channel related events
Description: The camera operator will shoot video of speeches, events and workshops for the Speaking Channel.
Time commitment: 5-15 hrs per week
